The Journey to Montezuma
Part of Montezuma's magic is that it still feels a little removed from the busy world—but getting here is easier than you might expect.
Tres Casas Blancas is located just 4 minutes from the center of Montezuma and its beaches, 10 minutes from Cóbano Airport, and only 5 minutes walk to the local bus station.
There are several ways to arrive:
✈️ Fly to Cóbano Airport
Domestic flights connect San José (SJO) and Liberia (LIR) with Cóbano Airport. From there, a short taxi or private transfer brings you to Tres Casas Blancas within minutes.
🚐 Tourist Shuttle or Private Transfer
Comfortable air-conditioned vans provide door-to-door transportation from San José or Liberia airports directly to Montezuma. A convenient and relaxed option for guests who prefer an easy arrival.
⛴️ Ferry & Bus Adventure from San José
For travelers who enjoy experiencing more of Costa Rica, the journey from San José can include a scenic ferry ride across the Gulf of Nicoya to Paquera, followed by bus or private transportation through the Nicoya Peninsula to Montezuma.
🚌 Public Bus Transportation
Traveling like a local is also possible. Public buses connect San José with Montezuma, offering an affordable way to experience the changing landscapes and communities of Costa Rica along the way.

I'm Susanne, born and raised in Switzerland but been living in the States for over 35 years and have been going back and forth between the States and Costa Rica for 18 years. Costa Rica is my favorite place on this planet. About 3 years ago, I fell in love with this property and am happy to be able to share it with you.
Tres Casas Blancas consist of 3 houses which are all available for rent and are located above the small bohemian town of Montezuma which is still surrounded by jungle and the most beautiful beaches that aren't crowded and close by. Casa Conchal has ocean view from the top floor. The wildlife is abundant. Monkeys, birds, iguanas, coatis and agutis etc. are all around the property.
I also have rentals in New Mexico including a teepee that is located on my property in the mountains. I'm an accountant and work in Real Estate and property management. My two sons are both in college, so I get to travel more now and spend time in Costa Rica. I love animals, horses, dogs, cats, rabbits have been always part of my life.
